Diamond W Miniature Horse Ranch is a family owned and operated business. The ranch is located in the Sierra Nevada foothills in Central California on 10 acres of rolling hills approximately 35 miles from Yosemite National Park. The rural, majestic landscape was the perfect setting not only for owners, Dave and Sue Weinert, to relocate the family from Alaska back to California, but to fulfill their life-long dream of owning and breeding horses. Inspired by their daughter’s passion for the equine world almost a decade ago, that dream has evolved into reality.

The mission of Diamond W Ranch is to breed quality miniature horses with a focus on conformation, performance, and temperament.  Each foal is handled from birth and given daily attention.  All horses are up to date on vaccinations, farrier care, regular worming, and lavished with tender loving care. Individualized  training concentrates on jumping, cart driving, obstacles, and halter. In addition, DWR practices giving back to the community by working with special needs children, and visiting local schools and churches.  Their desire is to continue to promote the uniqueness of the miniature horse breed.
